What happens when a Mother & Daughter have an affinity for animals and the Father/Husband grew up in the country? You find yourselves involved with 4-H, FFA and a herd of dairy goats!

All of us love animals of every size. Madi (Daughter) is studying Pre-Vet Animal Science & preparing for veterinary school. She was active in Ellis County 4-H, her High School, and a number of other community organizations. Caroline (Mom) grew up riding, training, showing horses and graduated with an Animal Science & Agriculture degree. Doug (Dad) may have his degree in a field other than agriculture, but he is the heart of our operations' logistics & engineering.

 

As many stories begin, it started with our daughter falling in love with some sweet and adorable baby goats. Not only did she get to play with them during that initial meeting, she was also able to bottle feed them. That was all it took, she was hooked. Fast forward a couple years worth of her persistent begging, doing research, and even writing an essay on the topic of goat health and care, we finally agreed.

Our first goats were born in 2017 and established our farm. We now have several pure breeds represented- Nigerian Dwarf, Lamancha and Recorded Grade. We love our animals, so their health and happiness come first. They are not just ring-proven high pedigree show animals, they are also family.

​

Our entire family is involved with farm operations. From daily routines, health and maintenance to showing, each of us does our part. It's not always easy work, but it is rewarding!

 

Proud to be members of Local and National Dairy Goat Clubs or Associations. Also active in our community, we have hosted Showmanship Clinics for those interested in learning more about working with their animals and being prepared for the show ring.
